| 13 | + | feet of a Department of Transportation office where operator's licenses are issued or |

| 14 | + | official driving skills tests are given. This bill eliminates that prohibition. |

| 15 | + | Current Department of Transportation administrative rules prohibit a driver |
---|
| 16 | + | school from soliciting business within 1,500 feet of a DOT office where operator's |
---|
| 17 | + | driving skills tests are given. This prohibition does not apply if the municipality |
---|
| 18 | + | where the DOT office is located has a population less than 10,000 and the business |
---|
| 19 | + | district in which the DOT office is located is less than 1,500 feet long. This bill |
---|
| 20 | + | modifies that exception to provide that the prohibition does not apply if the |
---|
| 21 | + | municipality where the DOT office is located has a population less than 15,000 and |
---|
| 22 | + | eliminates any requirement relating to the size of the business district were the DOT |
---|

| 42 | + | addition to providing instruction at a driver school classroom or, if the driver school |
---|
| 43 | + | also offers behind-the-wheel instruction in this state, instead of providing |
