1818 The people of the state of Wisconsin, represented in senate and assembly, do
1919 enact as follows:
2020 SECTION 1. 13.45 (8) of the statutes is created to read:
2121 13.45 (8) PUBLIC HEARINGS; COSPONSORS. Any bill referred to a legislative
2222 committee that has not received a public hearing shall be scheduled for a public
2323 hearing no later than 90 days after its referral if at least one-third of the members
2424 of either house of the legislature have signed on as cosponsors of the bill. For a bill
