14 | 14 | | This bill requires any employer that requires any employee or prospective |

15 | 15 | | employee to receive an immunization as a condition of employment to waive the |
---|
16 | 16 | | immunization requirement for the employee or prospective employee if the employee |
---|
17 | 17 | | or prospective employee objects to the immunization for reasons of health, religion, |
---|
18 | 18 | | or personal conviction. Under the bill, no employer may require that an employee |
---|
19 | 19 | | or prospective employee provide any explanation or justification of the employee's or |
---|
20 | 20 | | prospective employee's objection to an immunization. Further, the bill requires an |
---|
21 | 21 | | employer to inform an employee or prospective employee of the employee's or |
---|
22 | 22 | | prospective employee's right to a waiver from the employer's immunization |
---|
23 | 23 | | requirements in writing at any time the employer informs the employee or |
---|
24 | 24 | | prospective employee of the employer's immunization requirements. |

25 | 25 | | The people of the state of Wisconsin, represented in senate and assembly, do |

37 | 37 | | (a) “Employee” has the meaning given in s. 103.001 (5). |
---|
38 | 38 | | (b) “Employer” has the meaning given in s. 103.001 (6). |

39 | 39 | | (2) If any employer requires any employee or prospective employee to receive |

40 | 40 | | an immunization as a condition of employment, the employer shall waive the |
---|
41 | 41 | | immunization requirement if the employee or prospective employee objects to the |
---|
42 | 42 | | immunization for reasons of health, religion, or personal conviction. No employer |
---|
43 | 43 | | may require that an employee or prospective employee provide any explanation or |
---|
44 | 44 | | justification of the employee's or prospective employee's objection to an |
---|
45 | 45 | | immunization under this subsection. |
