11	11	AN ACT to create 20.395 (4) (fq), 20.395 (4) (fv), 20.395 (4) (fx) and 85.53 of the
12	12	statutes; relating to: an electric vehicle infrastructure program and making
13	13	an appropriation.

15	15	Under this bill, the Department of Transportation may establish and
16	16	administer a program to provide funding for electric vehicle infrastructure projects.
17	17	For further information see the state fiscal estimate, which will be printed as
18	18	an appendix to this bill.
19	19	The people of the state of Wisconsin, represented in senate and assembly, do
20	20	enact as follows:
21	21	SECTION 1. 20.005 (3) (schedule) of the statutes: at the appropriate place, insert
22	22	the following amounts for the purposes indicated:

32	32	(4) GENERAL TRANSPORTATION OPERATIONS

35	35	SECTION 2. 20.395 (4) (fq) of the statutes is created to read:
36	36	20.395 (4) (fq) Electric vehicle infrastructure, state funds. As a continuing
37	37	appropriation, the amounts in the schedule for the electric vehicle infrastructure
38	38	program under s. 85.53.
39	39	SECTION 3. 20.395 (4) (fv) of the statutes is created to read:
40	40	20.395 (4) (fv) Electric vehicle infrastructure, local funds. All moneys received
41	41	from any local unit of government or other source for the electric vehicle
42	42	infrastructure program under s. 85.53, for such purposes.
43	43	SECTION 4. 20.395 (4) (fx) of the statutes is created to read:
44	44	20.395 (4) (fx) Electric vehicle infrastructure, federal funds. All moneys
45	45	received from the federal government for the electric vehicle infrastructure program
46	46	under s. 85.53, for such purposes.
47	47	SECTION 5. 85.53 of the statutes is created to read:
48	48	85.53 Electric vehicle infrastructure program. The department may
49	49	establish and administer an electric vehicle infrastructure program. Under the
50	50	program, the department may provide funding for electric vehicle infrastructure
51	51	projects eligible for funding under state or federal law, including under the National
52	52	Electric Vehicle Formula Program as provided in Division J, Title VIII, of P.L.
