99 AN ACT to create 97.30 (2) (b) 1. e. of the statutes; relating to: license

1212 Analysis by the Legislative Reference Bureau
1313 Under current law, retail food establishments must obtain an annual license
1414 from the Department of Agriculture, Trade and Consumer Protection or one of its
1515 agents. Current law exempts certain retail food establishments from the annual
1616 license requirement, including retail establishments that are primarily engaged in
1717 selling fresh fruits and vegetables, honey, cider, or maple syrup, and retail food
1818 establishments where popcorn is popped, if these retail food establishments are not
1919 required to obtain a license to sell or process other food.
2020 This bill adds retail food establishments that sell or process cotton candy, if the
2121 retail food establishment is not required to obtain a license to sell or process any
2222 other food.
2323 The people of the state of Wisconsin, represented in senate and assembly, do
2424 enact as follows:
2525 SECTION 1. 97.30 (2) (b) 1. e. of the statutes is created to read:
