15 | 15 | | Families to support the Family Foundations home visitation program. The bill |

16 | 16 | | provides an increase of $1,666,500 in general purpose revenue funding and requires |

17 | 17 | | that, in each fiscal year after fiscal year 2022-23, DCF allocate $44,500 more in |

18 | 18 | | federal funding than was allocated in fiscal year 2022-23. |

19 | 19 | | Under current law, DCF distributes grants for the prevention of child abuse and |
---|
20 | 20 | | neglect under a program commonly referred to as “Family Foundations.” Under the |
---|
21 | 21 | | Family Foundations program, certain entities are eligible for grants to provide home |
---|
22 | 22 | | visitation services for parents who are eligible for Medical Assistance and who are |
---|
23 | 23 | | assessed to be at risk of poor birth outcomes or of abusing or neglecting their child. |
