21 | 21 | | Whereas, a second constitutional convention met in the winter of 1847-48, |

22 | 22 | | which drafted a second constitution; and |

23 | 23 | | Whereas, the territory's voters ratified the constitution on March 13, 1848; and |

24 | 24 | | Whereas, on May 29, 1848, President Polk signed legislation that admitted |

25 | 25 | | Wisconsin to the union, granting Wisconsin statehood; and |

26 | 26 | | Whereas, Wisconsin, paying homage to its history in agriculture and mining, |
