1010 Hasenohrl.
1111 Whereas, Donald Hasenohrl was born in Marshfield, Wisconsin, on November
1212 25, 1935, and graduated from Marshfield High School in 1953; and
1313 Whereas, Donald Hasenohrl married Kathleen J. Stashek on May 13, 1961, at
1414 St. Lawrence Catholic Church in Wisconsin Rapids; and
1515 Whereas, before serving as a legislator, Donald Hasenohrl worked as a stainless
1616 steel fabricator, farmer, production expediter, and fire fighter; and
1717 Whereas, in 1974, Donald Hasenohrl was elected to represent the people of the
1818 70th Assembly District and went on to serve for 26 years until his retirement in 2001;
1919 and
2020 Whereas, during his time in the assembly, Donald Hasenohrl was deeply
2121 involved in transportation and traffic safety issues, serving as the chair of the
2222 Assembly Committee on Transportation for 10 years; and

3939 Whereas, Donald Hasenohrl was a member of St. Michael's Catholic Church,
4040 the Knights of Columbus, the Order of Elks, the Eagles Club, and the Wood County
4141 Democratic Board, and served as a member and director of the Wisconsin State Fair
4242 Association; and
4343 Whereas, Donald Hasenohrl passed away on January 3, 2024, at the age of 88;
4444 and
4545 Whereas, Donald Hasenohrl is survived by his beloved wife of 62 years,
4646 Kathleen, and their three children: Dena, Charles, and Donald; and
4747 Whereas, Donald Hasenohrl will be remembered as a devoted public servant,
4848 husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather; now, therefore, be it
4949 Resolved by the assembly, That the members of the Wisconsin State
5050 Assembly mourn the passing of Representative Donald W. Hasenohrl and celebrate
5151 his life and legacy of public service.
