99 AN ACT to amend 27.01 (9) (bn) (title); and to create 27.01 (9) (bg) of the statutes;
1010 relating to: fee waivers for state park vehicle admission receipts to pupils with
1111 Every Kid Outdoors passes.
1212 Analysis by the Legislative Reference Bureau
1313 Under current law, no person may operate a vehicle in any state park or in
1414 certain other recreational areas on state land unless the vehicle displays a vehicle
1515 admission receipt. This bill requires the Department of Natural Resources to waive
1616 the fee for an annual vehicle admission receipt issued to the parent or guardian of
1717 a child who possesses a valid Every Kid Outdoors pass issued by the U.S. National
1818 Park Service. Under current federal law, such a pass authorizes free admission to
1919 national parks for any 4th grader and his or her family.

2222 The people of the state of Wisconsin, represented in senate and assembly, do
2323 enact as follows:
2424 SECTION 1. 27.01 (9) (bg) of the statutes is created to read:
2525 27.01 (9) (bg) Annual vehicle admission receipt fee waiver; 4th graders. The
2626 department shall waive the fee, including the issuing fee, imposed under sub. (7) for

3535 an annual vehicle admission receipt for any vehicle, except a motor bus, that has
3636 Wisconsin registration plates and that is owned by a person who produces evidence
3737 that he or she is the owner and is the parent or guardian of a child who possesses a
3838 valid Every Kid Outdoors pass issued by the U.S. National Park Service.
3939 SECTION 2. 27.01 (9) (bn) (title) of the statutes is amended to read:
