9	9	AN ACT to amend 27.01 (9) (bn) (title); and to create 27.01 (9) (bg) of the statutes;
10	10	relating to: fee waivers for state park vehicle admission receipts to pupils with
11	11	Every Kid Outdoors passes.

13	13	Under current law, no person may operate a vehicle in any state park or in
14	14	certain other recreational areas on state land unless the vehicle displays a vehicle
15	15	admission receipt. This bill requires the Department of Natural Resources to waive
16	16	the fee for an annual vehicle admission receipt issued to the parent or guardian of
17	17	a child who possesses a valid Every Kid Outdoors pass issued by the U.S. National
18	18	Park Service. Under current federal law, such a pass authorizes free admission to
19	19	national parks for any 4th grader and his or her family.
20	20	For further information see the state fiscal estimate, which will be printed as
21	21	an appendix to this bill.
22	22	The people of the state of Wisconsin, represented in senate and assembly, do
23	23	enact as follows:
24	24	SECTION 1. 27.01 (9) (bg) of the statutes is created to read:
25	25	27.01 (9) (bg) Annual vehicle admission receipt fee waiver; 4th graders. The
26	26	department shall waive the fee, including the issuing fee, imposed under sub. (7) for

35	35	an annual vehicle admission receipt for any vehicle, except a motor bus, that has
36	36	Wisconsin registration plates and that is owned by a person who produces evidence
37	37	that he or she is the owner and is the parent or guardian of a child who possesses a
38	38	valid Every Kid Outdoors pass issued by the U.S. National Park Service.
39	39	SECTION 2. 27.01 (9) (bn) (title) of the statutes is amended to read:
