99 AN ACT to create 118.07 (6) of the statutes; relating to: posting the child abuse

1212 This bill requires a school board, the operator of an independent charter school,
1313 or the governing body of a private school participating in a parental choice program
1414 or in the Special Needs Scholarship Program to post in a conspicuous location in a
1515 public area of each school building a sign that contains the telephone number for the
1616 local county or state agency that is responsible for receiving reports of, and
1717 conducting investigations regarding, child abuse or neglect.

2020 The people of the state of Wisconsin, represented in senate and assembly, do
2121 enact as follows:
2222 SECTION 1. 118.07 (6) of the statutes is created to read:
2323 118.07 (6) A school board, the operator of a charter school under s. 118.40 (2r)
2424 or (2x), or the governing body of a private school participating in a program under
2525 s. 115.7915, 118.60, or 119.23 shall post in a conspicuous location in a public area of

3535 as defined in s. 48.981 (1) (ag), that is responsible for receiving reports of, and
