1313 AN ACT to amend 118.01 (2) (c) 8. of the statutes; relating to: directing school
1414 boards to provide instruction on Hmong Americans and Asian Americans.
1515 Analysis by the Legislative Reference Bureau
1616 Current law requires each school board to provide an instructional program
1717 designed to give pupils an understanding of human relations, particularly with
1818 regard to American Indians, Black Americans, and Hispanics. This bill directs
1919 school boards to include in that instructional program information related to
2020 understanding human relations with regard to Hmong Americans and Asian
2121 Americans.
2222 The people of the state of Wisconsin, represented in senate and assembly, do
2323 enact as follows:
2424 SECTION 1. 118.01 (2) (c) 8. of the statutes is amended to read:
2525 118.01 (2) (c) 8. At all grade levels, an understanding of human relations,
2626 particularly with regard to American Indians, Black Americans and, Hispanics,
2727 Hmong Americans, and Asian Americans.
