| 14 | 14 | | or control of a financial institution. This bill provides that it is also a Class C felony |

| 15 | 15 | | to take such property by creating circumstances that would cause a reasonable |

| 16 | 16 | | person to believe use of force was imminent. A Class C felony is punishable by |
|---|
| 17 | 17 | | imprisonment for up to 40 years or a fine of up to $100,000, or both. |

| 18 | 18 | | Because this bill creates a new crime or revises a penalty for an existing crime, |

| 19 | 19 | | the Joint Review Committee on Criminal Penalties may be requested to prepare a |
