Electric Vehicle Infrastructure
Program
2023 Wisconsin Act 122 authorizes the Department of Transportation (DOT) to establish and
administer an electric vehicle (EV) infrastructure program. Under the program, DOT may provide
funding for EV infrastructure projects eligible for funding under state or federal law. The act creates
appropriations through which federal, state, or local funds allocated to the EV infrastructure program
may be expended by DOT for that purpose.
Effective date: March 22, 2024
