| 15 | 15 | | Justice. This bill increases the number of positions for the office by 14.2 project |

| 16 | 16 | | positions starting January 1, 2025, and ending September 30, 2025. The bill |

| 17 | 17 | | provides funding for the positions from the fees that DOJ collects for issuing licenses |
|---|
| 18 | 18 | | to carry concealed weapons. |

| 23 | 23 | | SECTION 1. 20.455 (2) (gr) of the statutes is amended to read: |

| 42 | 42 | | (1) PROJECT POSITIONS FOR THE OFFICE OF SCHOOL SAFETY. The authorized FTE |

| 44 | 44 | | funded from the appropriation under s. 20.455 (2) (gr), for the purpose of supporting |
|---|
| 45 | 45 | | and enhancing school safety initiatives for the period beginning on January 1, 2025, |
|---|
| 46 | 46 | | and ending on September 30, 2025. |
