| 12 | 12 | | Whereas, agriculture is the second largest industry in Wisconsin—contributing |

| 13 | 13 | | approximately $105 billion to the state's economy—and a significant driver of |
|---|
| 14 | 14 | | national and international exportation of agricultural products; and |
|---|
| 15 | 15 | | Whereas, the agricultural sector plays a pivotal role in furnishing nutritious |
|---|
| 16 | 16 | | food and other resources to the population; and |
|---|
| 17 | 17 | | Whereas, certain states have enacted laws imposing production standards and |
|---|
| 18 | 18 | | criteria for agricultural products that prohibit the sale of agricultural products that |
|---|
| 19 | 19 | | do not conform to these arbitrary requirements; and |
|---|
| 20 | 20 | | Whereas, such laws can have significant repercussions, potentially |
|---|
| 21 | 21 | | destabilizing the U.S. food supply chain and hindering agricultural product sales; |

| 46 | 46 | | Resolved by the senate, the assembly concurring, That the Wisconsin |
|---|
| 47 | 47 | | Legislature reaffirms its commitment to uphold farmers' right to establish |
|---|
| 48 | 48 | | appropriate protocols for agricultural practices that align with the needs of their |
|---|
| 49 | 49 | | farms; and, be it further |
|---|
| 50 | 50 | | Resolved, That the Wisconsin Legislature steadfastly supports the |
|---|
| 51 | 51 | | continuance of national commodity markets that permit farmers to sell their |
|---|
| 52 | 52 | | agricultural products in any state. |
