23 | 23 | | SECTION 1. Arkansas Code ยง 27 -36-204(a)(2), concerning when a motor 20 |

24 | 24 | | vehicle is required to display lighted lamps, is amended to read as follows: 21 |

25 | 25 | | (2)(A) Every vehicle, except motorcycles and motor -driven 22 |

26 | 26 | | cycles, driven upon a street or highway within this state shall display 23 |

27 | 27 | | lighted lamps and illuminating devices, as respectively required for 24 |

28 | 28 | | different classes of vehicles, during any period in which the vehicle's 25 |

29 | 29 | | windshield wipers are being used for clearing or cleaning rain, snow, or 26 |

30 | 30 | | other precipitation from th e windshield because of inclement weather. 27 |

31 | 31 | | (B)(i) No vehicle or the operator of the vehicle shall be 28 |

32 | 32 | | stopped, inspected, or detained solely for violations of the requirements of 29 |

33 | 33 | | subdivision (a)(2)(A) of this section. 30 |

34 | 34 | | (ii)(B) When any a vehicle operator is stopped by a 31 |

35 | 35 | | law enforcement officer and the law enforcement officer notes that the 32 |
