(TEXT OF BILL BEGINS ON NEXT PAGE) Be it resolved by the House of Representatives of the State of Arizona, the Senate concurring: 1. Article IV, part 2, section 3, Constitution of Arizona, is proposed to be amended as follows if approved by the voters and on proclamation of the Governor: START_STATUTE3. Sessions of legislature; special sessions; repeal sessions; limitation of subjects for consideration Section 3. The sessions of the legislature shall be held annually at the capitol of the state, and shall commence on the second Monday of January of each year. The governor may call a special session, whenever in his judgment it is advisable. In calling a special session, the governor shall specify the subjects to be considered, and at such special session no laws shall be enacted except such as relate to the subjects mentioned in the call. A repeal session shall be held once every two years at the capitol of the state and shall commence on the second Monday in October of each odd-numbered year. Only legislation repealing current laws enacted three or more years before the repeal session, or portions thereof, shall be considered, enacted or referred to the people at the repeal session. END_STATUTE 2. The Secretary of State shall submit this proposition to the voters at the next general election as provided by article XXI, Constitution of Arizona.
