26+groundwater compact compliance and sustainability fund to help finance
27+groundwater use reduction efforts in the Rio Grande river basin and the

383-section 24-75-228 (3)(a), C.R.S., and is of money the state received from

385-Natural Resources is responsible for the accounting related to this
386-appropriation.
387-(2) For the 2022-23 state fiscal year, $60,000,000 is appropriated to
388-the department of natural resources for use by the Colorado water
389-conservation board. This appropriation is from reappropriated funds from
390-the groundwater compact compliance and sustainability fund under
391-subsection (1) of this section. To implement this act, the board may use this
392-appropriation for compact compliance and groundwater resource
393-sustainability and conservation pursuant to section 37-60-134, C.R.S. Any
394-money appropriated in this section not expended prior to July 1, 2023, is

315+SECTION 3. Appropriation. (1) For the 2022-23 state fiscal21
316+year, $60,000,000 is appropriated to the groundwater compact compliance22
317+and sustainability fund created in section 37-60-134 (2)(a), C.R.S. This23
318+appropriation is from the economic recovery and relief cash fund created24
319+in section 24-75-228 (2)(a), C.R.S., and is of money the state received25
320+from the federal coronavirus state fiscal recovery fund. The Department26
321+of Natural Resources is responsible for the accounting related to this27
322+028
323+-10- appropriation.1
324+(2) For the 2022-23 state fiscal year, $60,000,000 is appropriated2
325+to the department of natural resources for use by the Colorado water3
326+conservation board. This appropriation is from reappropriated funds from 4
327+the groundwater compact compliance and sustainability fund under5
328+subsection (1) of this section. To implement this act, the board may use6
329+this appropriation for compact compliance and groundwater resource7
330+sustainability and conservation pursuant to section 37-60-134, C.R.S. Any8
331+money appropriated in this section not expended prior to July 1, 2023, is9
332+further appropriated to the board from July 1, 2023, through December10
333+30, 2024, for the same purpose.11
334+SECTION 4. Safety clause. The general assembly hereby finds,12
335+determines, and declares that this act is necessary for the immediate13
336+preservation of the public peace, health, or safety.14
