AN ACT ESTABLISHING AN INTERNSHIP PROGRAM FOR ADULTS WITH AUTISM AND ALLOWING A BUSINESS TAX CREDIT FOR BUSINESSES THAT UTILIZE SUCH PROGRAM. Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened: That (1) section 17a-215c of the general statutes be amended to 1 require the Commissioner of Developmental Services to establish an 2 internship program for adults with autism spectrum disorder, and (2) 3 chapter 208 of the general statutes be amended to allow a business tax 4 credit of not more than two hundred dollars for every business that 5 hires an adult with autism spectrum disorder as an intern at such 6 business. 7 Statement of Purpose: To establish an internship program for adults with autism spectrum disorder and allow a tax credit for businesses that utilize such program.
