1134 Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
1235 Assembly convened:

14-Section 1. Section 19 of public act 18-81 is repealed and the
15-following is substituted in lieu thereof (Effective from passage):
16-The following sums appropriated in section 1 of public act 17-2 of
17-the June special session, as amended by section 16 of public act 17-4 of
18-the June special session, section 1 of public act 17-1 of the January
19-special session and section 1 of [this act] public act 18-81, for the fiscal
20-year ending June 30, 2019, shall be for the purpose of providing
21-assistance to persons residing in the state who were displaced by
22-Hurricane Maria as follows: (1) $400,000 to the Department of
23-Education, for Bilingual Education, to be distributed to the top six
24-school districts with the largest concentration of Hurricane Maria
25-evacuees; (2) $600,000 to the Department of Housing, for
26-Housing/Homeless Services, to fund security deposits and first month
27-rent to those evacuees impacted by Hurricane Maria; and (3) $500,000
28-to the Department of Social Services, for Human Resour ce
29-Development-Hispanic Programs, as follows: $90,000 to the Hispanic
30-Coalition Inc. in Waterbury, $90,000 to Junta For Progressive Action in
31-New Haven, $90,000 to Family Resource Center in Hartford for House Bill No. 7402
