14		-	AN ACT CONCERNING WA TER FOWL HUNTING AT CALF PASTURE

	19	+	AN ACT ESTABLISHING CALF PASTURE BEACH IN NOR WALK AS A
	20	+	WILDLIFE REFUGE.
16	21		Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
17	22		Assembly convened:

19		-	Section 1. (NEW) (Effective October 1, 2019) No person shall engage 1
20		-	in water fowl hunting in the area known as Calf Pasture Beach in 2
21		-	Norwalk for the period commencing October 1, 2019, and ending 3
22		-	October 1, 2021. Nothing in this section shall prohibit the city of 4
23		-	Norwalk from undertaking the management of geese populations in 5
24		-	such area. Nothing in this section shall be construed to limit fishing or 6
25		-	shell fishing in said area. 7
	24	+	Section 1. Section 26-106 of the general statutes is repealed and the 1
	25	+	following is substituted in lieu thereof (Effective October 1, 2019): 2
	26	+	(a) That portion of Milford Harbor extending from Memorial Bridge 3
	27	+	to the Milford breakwater and that portion of Gulf Pond extending 4
	28	+	from land of the New York, New Haven and Hartford Railroad 5
	29	+	Company to said breakwater and that portion of the upland known as 6
	30	+	harbor side of Wilcox Park located on the east side of said Milford 7
	31	+	Harbor, comprising five acres more or less, is established as a state 8
	32	+	refuge for wildlife. The territory within the limits above described shall 9
	33	+	be subject to all provisions of the general statutes relating to state 10
	34	+	refuges for wildlife and to the regulations of the commissioner relating 11
	35	+	to such refuges. 12
	36	+	(b) The area known as Calf Pasture Beach in Norwalk is established 13
	37	+	as a state refuge for wildlife. The territory within said area shall be 14
	38	+	subject to all provisions of the general statutes relating to state refuges 15

	44	+	for wildlife and to the regulations of the commissioner relating to such 16
	45	+	refuges except fishing in such area shall be permitted in accordance 17
