1818 AN ACT CONCERNING NURSING HOME FACILITY STAFFING
1919 RATIOS.
2020 Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
2121 Assembly convened:

2323 That the general statutes be amended to (1) establish minimum 1
2424 staffing ratios of at least 4.1 hours of direct care per resident, including 2
2525 .75 hours of care by a registered nurse, .54 hours of care by a licensed 3
2626 practical nurse and 2.81 hours of care by a certified nurse's assistant, and 4
2727 (2) modify staffing ratios for social work and recreational staff such that 5
2828 they are lower than the current standards. 6
2929 Statement of Purpose:
3030 To ensure adequate care to residents of nursing home facilities.
