24 | 24 | That chapter 170 of the general statutes be amended to permit a local 1 | |

26 | 26 | enrollment to close one or more of its elementary or middle schools and 3 | |
27 | 27 | to enter into agreements with other boards of education to pay tuition 4 | |
28 | 28 | to such other boards to enroll its students in schools under the 5 | |
29 | 29 | jurisdiction of such other boards. 6 | |

31 | 31 | To afford school districts with diminishing student populations the | |
32 | 32 | option to voluntarily share services and reduce costs by allowing school | |
33 | 33 | districts to tuition-out their elementary and middle school students to | |
