AN ACT CONCERNING A STUDY OF GIG WORKERS .  
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General 
Assembly convened: 
 
Section 1. (Effective from passage) (a) The Labor Commissioner shall, in 1 
consultation with gig workers and other stakeholders and the 2 
chairpersons of the joint standing committee of the General Assembly 3 
having cognizance of matters relating to labor, conduct a study of gig 4 
workers in this state. 5 
(b) Not later than January 1, 2022, the commissioner shall report the 6 
results of the study, in accordance with the provisions of section 11-4a 7 
of the general statutes, to the joint standing committee of the General 8 
Assembly having cognizance of matters relating to labor. Such report 9 
shall include recommendations for legislation regarding gig workers. 10 
This act shall take effect as follows and shall amend the following 
sections:
