AN ACT CONCERNING THE RECOUPMENT OF STATE COST 
ATTRIBUTABLE TO LOW -WAGE EMPLOYERS. 
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General 
Assembly convened: 
 
That chapter 557 of the general statutes be amended to require 1 
employers with over five hundred employees in the state and 2 
franchisors who, combined with their franchisees, collectively employ 3 
at least five hundred employees in the state to pay a quarterly fee to the 4 
Labor Commissioner based in part on the number of employees of such 5 
employer that utilize state resources, including, but not limited to, the 6 
HUSKY Health program.  7  Proposed Bill No.   6462

Statement of Purpose:   
To recoup state cost relating to services provided to workers who utilize 
state resources such as the HUSKY Health program.
