2322 Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General

2625 Section 1. Section 15 of special act 07-11, as amended by section 4 of 1
2726 public act 10-1 of the June special session and section 10 of special act 2
2827 15-1 of the June special session, is amended to read as follows (Effective 3
2928 from passage): 4
3029 (a) Notwithstanding any provision of the general statutes, the 5
3130 Commissioner of Transportation shall convey to the Bridgeport Port 6
3231 Authority a parcel of land located in the city of Bridgeport, at a cost 7
3332 equal to the administrative costs of making such conveyance. Said 8
34-parcel of land has an area of approximately 1.008 acres and is 9
35-identified as a certain parcel of land situated in the city of Bridgeport, 10
36-county of Fairfield, and state of Connecticut, being more particularly 11
37-bounded and described as follows: 12

5553 The conveyance shall be subject to the approval of the State Properties 24

57-(b) (1) The Bridgeport Port Authority shall use said parcel of land 26
58-for economic development or waterfront related purposes and may 27
59-sell or lease all or any portion of said parcel for economic development 28
60-or waterfront related purposes. If the Bridgeport Port Authority: 29

65-this subsection, the parcel shall revert to the state of Connecticut. Any 34
66-sale or lease of said parcel in accordance with this section shall be for 35
67-[the fair market value of the property or lease of said property, as 36
60+(B) Sells or leases all or any portion of said parcel, except for a sale or 31
61+lease of all or any portion of said parcel for economic development or 32
62+waterfront related purposes, in accordance with the provisions of this 33
63+subsection, the parcel shall revert to the state of Connecticut. Any sale 34
64+or lease of said parcel in accordance with this section shall be for [the 35
65+fair market value of the property or lease of said property, as 36

72-section shall be transferred to the State Treasurer for deposit in the 41

74-(2) Notwithstanding any provision of the general statutes, the 43 Bill No. 6935
68+thousand dollars. Any funds received by the Bridgeport Port Authority 39

73+Department of Transportation shall grant the Bridgeport Port Authority 44 Raised Bill No. 6935

81-Department of Transportation shall grant the Bridgeport Port 44
82-Authority a right of way from Stratford Avenue, Connecticut Route 45
83-130, directly to and from said parcel, at a place to be determined by the 46
84-department. 47
85-(c) The State Properties Review Board shall complete its review of 48
86-the conveyance of said parcel of land not later than thirty days after it 49
87-receives a proposed agreement from the Department of 50
88-Transportation. The land shall remain under the care and control of 51
89-said department until a conveyance is made in accordance with the 52
90-provisions of this section. The State Treasurer shall execute and deliver 53
91-any deed or instrument necessary for a conveyance under this section, 54
92-which deed or instrument shall include provisions to carry out the 55
93-purposes of subsection (b) of this section. The Commissioner of 56
94-Transportation shall have the sole responsibility for all other incidents 57
95-of such conveyance. 58
