23 | 24 | | Section 1. (Effective from passage) There is established a working group 1 |

24 | 25 | | to study the civil laws of this state. Such study shall include, but not be 2 |

25 | 26 | | limited to, a review of provisions set forth in various titles of the general 3 |

26 | 27 | | statutes, including, but not limited to, titles 51 and 52 of the general 4 |

27 | 28 | | statutes, for the purpose of recommending needed changes to such 5 |

28 | 29 | | provisions of the general statutes. The working group shall consist of 6 |

29 | 30 | | the following members, who have familiarity with and expertise in the 7 |
---|
30 | 31 | | interpretation of the state's civil laws: (1) One appointed by the speaker 8 |

31 | 32 | | of the House of Representatives; (2) one appointed by the president pro 9 |

32 | 33 | | tempore of the Senate; (3) one appointed by the majority leader of the 10 |

33 | 34 | | House of Representatives; (4) one appointed by the majority leader of 11 |

34 | 35 | | the Senate; (5) one appointed by the minority leader of the House of 12 |

35 | 36 | | Representatives; and (6) one appointed by the minority leader of the 13 |

36 | 37 | | Senate. Not later than January 1, 2026, the working group shall submit 14 |
