| 24 | 24 | | Section 1. Subsection (1) of s ection 743.064, Florida 11 |

| 28 | 28 | | (1) The absence of parental consent notwithstanding, a 15 |

| 29 | 29 | | physician licensed under chapter 458 or an osteopathic physici an 16 |

| 30 | 30 | | licensed under chapter 459 may render emergency medical care or 17 |
|---|
| 31 | 31 | | treatment to any minor who has been injured in an accident or 18 |
|---|
| 32 | 32 | | who is suffering from an acute illness, disease, or condition 19 |
|---|
| 33 | 33 | | if, within a reasonable degree of medical certainty, delay in 20 |
|---|
| 34 | 34 | | initiation or provision of emergency medical care or treatment 21 |
|---|
| 35 | 35 | | would endanger the health or physical well -being of the minor, 22 |
|---|
| 36 | 36 | | and provided such emergency medical care or treatment is 23 |
|---|
| 37 | 37 | | administered in a hospital licensed by the state under chapter 24 |
|---|
