| 24 | 24 | | 916.106 Definitions. —For the purposes of this chapter, the 11 |

| 26 | 26 | | (10) "Forensic facility" means a separate and secure 13 |

| 27 | 27 | | facility established within the department or agency , or 14 |
|---|
| 28 | 28 | | contracted using department funding, to serve forensic clients. 15 |

| 29 | 29 | | A separate and secure facility means a security -grade building 16 |
|---|
| 30 | 30 | | for the purpose of separately housing persons who have mental 17 |
|---|
| 31 | 31 | | illness from persons who have intellectual disabilities or 18 |
|---|
| 32 | 32 | | autism and separately housing persons who have been 19 |
|---|
| 33 | 33 | | involuntarily committed pursuant to this chapter from 20 |
|---|
| 34 | 34 | | nonforensic residents. The term includes a facility serving 21 |
|---|
| 35 | 35 | | forensic clients committed to the department which is colocated 22 |
|---|
| 36 | 36 | | in a county jail and operated by a community mental health 23 |
|---|
| 37 | 37 | | provider through a contract. 24 |
