22	22	Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Florida: 9

24	24	Section 1. Subsections (2) and (4) of section 493.6115, 11
25	25	Florida Statutes, are amended to read: 12
26	26	493.6115 Weapons and firearms. — 13
27	27	(2)(a) Except as provided in paragraph (b), only Class 14
28	28	"C," Class "CC," Class "D," Class "M," Class "MA," or Class "MB" 15
29	29	licensees are permitted to bear a firearm , and any such licensee 16
30	30	who bears a firearm shall also have a Class "G" license. 17
31	31	(b)1. A Class "C" licensee who does not have a Class "G" 18
32	32	license may bear a firearm if the licensee has a license to 19
33	33	carry concealed firearms issued pursuant to s. 790.06. 20
34	34	2. A Class "C," Class "CC," Class "D," Class "M," Class 21
35	35	"MA," or Class "MB" licensee who does not have a Class "G" 22
36	36	license but who is a retired law enforcement officer; who 23
37	37	separated from service in good standing; who, before such 24
38	38	separation, served as a law enforcement officer for at leas t 10 25

51	51	years; and who maintains her or his annual firearms proficiency 26
52	52	qualification pursuant to the federal Law Enforcement Officers 27
53	53	Safety Act, may bear a firearm in the performance of her or his 28
54	54	duties. 29
55	55	3. A Class "C," Class "CC," Class "D," Class "M," Class 30
56	56	"MA," or Class "MB" licensee who does not have a Class "G" 31
57	57	license but who is an active law enforcement officer and who 32
58	58	maintains the annual firearms proficiency qualification required 33
59	59	by her or his agency, may bear a firearm in the performance of 34
60	60	her or his duties. 35
61	61	(4)(a)1. A Class "C" or Class "CC" licensee who is 21 36
62	62	years of age or older and has also been issued a Class "G" 37
63	63	license, who has a license to carry concealed firearms, or who 38
64	64	meets the requirements of subparagraph (2)(b)2. may carry, in 39
65	65	the performance of her or his duties, a concealed firearm. 40
66	66	2. A Class "D" licensee who is 21 years of age or older 41
67	67	and has also been issued a Class "G" license or who meets the 42
68	68	requirements of subparagraph (2)(b)2. may carry a concealed 43
69	69	firearm in the performance of her or his duties under the 44
70	70	conditions specified in s. 493.6305(3) and (4). 45
71	71	(b) The Class "G" license must clearly indicate such 46
72	72	authority. The authority of any such licensee to carry a 47
73	73	concealed firearm is valid in any location throughout the state 48
74	74	while performing services within the scope of the license. 49
75	75	Section 2. Subsections (3) and (4) of section 493.6305, 50

89	89	493.6305 Uniforms, required wear; exceptions. — 52
90	90	(3) Class "D" licensees who are authorized to carry a 53
91	91	concealed firearm under s. 493.6115(4)(a)2. also Class "G" 54
92	92	licensees and who are performing limited, special assignment 55
93	93	duties may carry their authorized firearm concealed in the 56
94	94	conduct of such duties. 57
95	95	(4) Class "D" licensees who are authorized to carry a 58
96	96	concealed firearm under s. 493.6115(4)(a)2. also Class "G" 59
97	97	licensees and who are performing bodyguard or executive 60
98	98	protection services may carry their authorized firearm concealed 61
99	99	while in nonuniform as needed in the conduct of such s ervices. 62
100	100	Section 3. This act shall take effect July 1, 2022. 63
