2222 Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Florida: 9

2424 Section 1. Subsections (2) and (4) of section 493.6115, 11
2525 Florida Statutes, are amended to read: 12
2626 493.6115 Weapons and firearms. — 13
2727 (2)(a) Except as provided in paragraph (b), only Class 14
2828 "C," Class "CC," Class "D," Class "M," Class "MA," or Class "MB" 15
2929 licensees are permitted to bear a firearm , and any such licensee 16
3030 who bears a firearm shall also have a Class "G" license. 17
3131 (b)1. A Class "C" licensee who does not have a Class "G" 18
3232 license may bear a firearm if the licensee has a license to 19
3333 carry concealed firearms issued pursuant to s. 790.06. 20
3434 2. A Class "C," Class "CC," Class "D," Class "M," Class 21
3535 "MA," or Class "MB" licensee who does not have a Class "G" 22
3636 license but who is a retired law enforcement officer; who 23
3737 separated from service in good standing; who, before such 24
3838 separation, served as a law enforcement officer for at leas t 10 25

5151 years; and who maintains her or his annual firearms proficiency 26
5252 qualification pursuant to the federal Law Enforcement Officers 27
5353 Safety Act, may bear a firearm in the performance of her or his 28

5555 3. A Class "C," Class "CC," Class "D," Class "M," Class 30
5656 "MA," or Class "MB" licensee who does not have a Class "G" 31
5757 license but who is an active law enforcement officer and who 32
5858 maintains the annual firearms proficiency qualification required 33
5959 by her or his agency, may bear a firearm in the performance of 34
6060 her or his duties. 35
6161 (4)(a)1. A Class "C" or Class "CC" licensee who is 21 36
6262 years of age or older and has also been issued a Class "G" 37
6363 license, who has a license to carry concealed firearms, or who 38
6464 meets the requirements of subparagraph (2)(b)2. may carry, in 39
6565 the performance of her or his duties, a concealed firearm. 40
6666 2. A Class "D" licensee who is 21 years of age or older 41
6767 and has also been issued a Class "G" license or who meets the 42
6868 requirements of subparagraph (2)(b)2. may carry a concealed 43
6969 firearm in the performance of her or his duties under the 44
7070 conditions specified in s. 493.6305(3) and (4). 45
7171 (b) The Class "G" license must clearly indicate such 46
7272 authority. The authority of any such licensee to carry a 47
7373 concealed firearm is valid in any location throughout the state 48
7474 while performing services within the scope of the license. 49

8888 Florida Statutes, are amended to read: 51
8989 493.6305 Uniforms, required wear; exceptions. — 52
9090 (3) Class "D" licensees who are authorized to carry a 53
9191 concealed firearm under s. 493.6115(4)(a)2. also Class "G" 54
9292 licensees and who are performing limited, special assignment 55
9393 duties may carry their authorized firearm concealed in the 56
9494 conduct of such duties. 57
9595 (4) Class "D" licensees who are authorized to carry a 58
9696 concealed firearm under s. 493.6115(4)(a)2. also Class "G" 59
9797 licensees and who are performing bodyguard or executive 60
9898 protection services may carry their authorized firearm concealed 61
9999 while in nonuniform as needed in the conduct of such s ervices. 62
100100 Section 3. This act shall take effect July 1, 2022. 63
