Section 258.014, Florida Statutes, is amended 15 to read: 16 258.014 Fees for Use of state parks; fees for use; 17 campsite reservations.— 18 (1) FEES FOR USE.— 19 (a) The Division of Recreation and Parks shall have the 20 power to charge reasonable fees, rentals , or charges for the use 21 or operation of facilities and concessions in state parks ., and 22 All such fees, rentals, and c harges so collected must shall be 23 deposited in the State Treasury to the credit of "State Park 24 Trust Fund," which is hereby created, the continuing balance of 25 ENROLLED CS/HB 109 2023 Legislature CODING: Words stricken are deletions; words underlined are additions. hb0109-02-er Page 2 of 3 F L O R I D A H O U S E O F R E P R E S E N T A T I V E S which fund is hereby appropriated to be expended by the said 26 division for the administration, imp rovement, and maintenance of 27 state parks and for the acquisition and development of lands 28 hereafter acquired for state park purposes. The appropriation of 29 the said fund shall be continuing, and may shall not revert to 30 the General Revenue Fund at the end of any fiscal year or at any 31 other time but shall, until expended, be continually available 32 to the said division for the uses and purposes set forth. 33 (b)(2) Any moneys received in trust by the division by 34 gift, devise, appropriation, or otherwise shall, su bject to the 35 terms of such trust, be deposited with the Chief Financial 36 Officer in a fund to be known as the "State Park Trust Fund," 37 and shall be subject to withdrawal upon application of the such 38 division for expenditure or investment in accordance with the 39 terms of the trust. Unless prohibited by the terms of the trust 40 by which the moneys are derived, all of such moneys may be 41 invested as provided by law. 42 (2) RESERVATIONS.— 43 (a) The Division of Recreation and Parks shall allow 44 individuals to make rese rvations for state park cabins and 45 campsites, including sites for RV, tent, boat, and equestrian 46 camping, as follows: 47 1. For Florida residents, reservations up to 11 months in 48 advance; and 49 2. For nonresidents, reservations up to 10 months in 50 ENROLLED CS/HB 109 2023 Legislature CODING: Words stricken are deletions; words underlined are additions. hb0109-02-er Page 3 of 3 F L O R I D A H O U S E O F R E P R E S E N T A T I V E S advance. 51 (b) A Florida resident who wishes to book a state park 52 cabin or campsite more than 10 months in advance must provide 53 his or her valid Florida driver license number or the 54 identification number from a Florida identification card issued 55 under s. 322.051 as proof of Florida residency when making a 56 reservation. 57 Section 2. This act shall take effect January 1, 2024. 58
