2626 Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Florida: 13

2828 Section 1. Section 258.014, Florida Statutes, is amended 15
2929 to read: 16
3030 258.014 Fees for Use of state parks; fees for use; 17
3131 campsite reservations.— 18
3232 (1) FEES FOR USE.— 19
3333 (a) The Division of Recreation and Parks shall have the 20
3434 power to charge reasonable fees, rentals , or charges for the use 21
3535 or operation of facilities and concessions in state parks ., and 22
3636 All such fees, rentals, and c harges so collected must shall be 23
3737 deposited in the State Treasury to the credit of "State Park 24
3838 Trust Fund," which is hereby created, the continuing balance of 25

5151 which fund is hereby appropriated to be expended by the said 26
5252 division for the administration, imp rovement, and maintenance of 27
5353 state parks and for the acquisition and development of lands 28
5454 hereafter acquired for state park purposes. The appropriation of 29
5555 the said fund shall be continuing, and may shall not revert to 30
5656 the General Revenue Fund at the end of any fiscal year or at any 31
5757 other time but shall, until expended, be continually available 32
5858 to the said division for the uses and purposes set forth. 33
5959 (b)(2) Any moneys received in trust by the division by 34
6060 gift, devise, appropriation, or otherwise shall, su bject to the 35
6161 terms of such trust, be deposited with the Chief Financial 36
6262 Officer in a fund to be known as the "State Park Trust Fund," 37
6363 and shall be subject to withdrawal upon application of the such 38
6464 division for expenditure or investment in accordance with the 39
6565 terms of the trust. Unless prohibited by the terms of the trust 40
6666 by which the moneys are derived, all of such moneys may be 41
6767 invested as provided by law. 42
6868 (2) RESERVATIONS.— 43
6969 (a) The Division of Recreation and Parks shall allow 44
7070 individuals to make rese rvations for state park cabins and 45
7171 campsites, including sites for RV, tent, boat, and equestrian 46
7272 camping, as follows: 47
7373 1. For Florida residents, reservations up to 11 months in 48
7474 advance; and 49
7575 2. For nonresidents, reservations up to 10 months in 50

8989 (b) A Florida resident who wishes to book a state park 52
9090 cabin or campsite more than 10 months in advance must provide 53
9191 his or her valid Florida driver license number or the 54
9292 identification number from a Florida identification card issued 55
9393 under s. 322.051 as proof of Florida residency when making a 56
9494 reservation. 57
9595 Section 2. This act shall take effect January 1, 2024. 58
