30-Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Florida: 17

32- Section 1. Paragraphs (c) and (d) of subsection (18) of 19
33-section 1002.20, Florida Statutes, are amended to read: 20
34- 1002.20 K-12 student and parent rights.—Parents of public 21
35-school students must receive accurate and timely information 22
36-regarding their child's academic progress and must be informed 23
37-of ways they can help their child to succeed in school. K -12 24
38-students and their parents are afforded numer ous statutory 25
16+activities; amending ss. 1002.33 and 1006.15, F.S.; 3
17+authorizing a charter school student to participate in 4
18+interscholastic extracurricular activities at a 5
19+private school under certain circumstances; providing 6
20+an effective date. 7
21+Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Florida: 8
22+ 9
23+ Section 1. Subsection (11) of section 1002.33, Florida 10
24+Statutes, is amended to read: 11
25+ 1002.33 Charter schools. — 12
26+ (11) PARTICIPATION IN INTERSCHOLASTIC EXTRACURRICULAR 13
27+ACTIVITIES.—A charter school student is eligible to participate 14
28+in an interscholastic extracurricular activity at the public 15
29+school to which the student wo uld be otherwise assigned to 16
30+attend, or may develop an agreement to participate at a private 17
31+school, pursuant to s. 1006.15(3)(d). 18
32+ Section 2. Paragraph (d) of subsection (3) of section 19
33+1006.15, Florida Statutes, is amended to read: 20
34+ 1006.15 Student standards for participation in 21
35+interscholastic and intrascholastic extracurricular student 22
36+activities; regulation. 23

52- (18) EXTRACURRICULAR ACTIVITIES. —In accordance with the 27
53-provisions of s. 1006.15: 28
54- (c) Charter school students. —Charter school students who 29
55-meet specified academic and conduct requiremen ts are eligible to 30
56-participate in extracurricular activities at the public school 31
57-to which the student would be assigned or could choose to attend 32
58-according to district school board policies, or may develop an 33
59-agreement to participate at a private school, unless such 34
60-activity is provided by the student's charter school. 35
61- (d) Florida Virtual School full -time students.—Florida 36
62-Virtual School full-time students who meet specified academic 37
63-and conduct requirements are eligible to participate in 38
64-extracurricular activities at the public school to which the 39
65-student would be assigned or could choose to attend according to 40
66-district school board policies , or may develop an agreement to 41
67-participate at a private school . 42
68- Section 2. Subsection (11) of section 1002.33 , Florida 43
