3030 Section 1. Subsection (5) of section 125.01055, Florida 17
3131 Statutes, are amended to read: 18

5353 Section 3. Paragraph (g) of subsection (5) of section 28
5454 420.9075, Florida Statutes, is amended to read: 29
5555 420.9075 Local housing assistance plans; partnerships. — 30
5656 (5) The following criteria apply to awards made to 31
5757 eligible sponsors or eligible persons for the purpose of 32
5858 providing eligible housing: 33
5959 (g)1. All units constructed, rehabilitated, or otherwise 34
6060 assisted with the funds provided from the local housing 35
6161 assistance trust fund must be occupied by very -low-income 36
6262 persons, low-income persons, and moderat e-income persons except 37
6363 as otherwise provided in this section. 38
6464 2.a. At least 30 percent of the funds deposited into the 39
6565 local housing assistance trust fund must be reserved for awards 40
6666 to very-low-income persons or eligible sponsors who will serve 41
6767 very-low-income persons, and at least an additional 30 percent 42
6868 of the funds deposited into the local housing assistance trust 43
6969 fund must be reserved for awards to low -income persons or 44
7070 eligible sponsors who will serve low -income persons. 45
7171 b. This subparagraph doe s not apply to a county or an 46
7272 eligible municipality whose land has been designated within the 47
7373 previous 5 years as an area of critical state concern by the 48
7474 Legislature for which the Legislature has declared its intent to 49
7575 provide affordable housing. This sub -subparagraph expires on 50
