99 | 99 | | (4) Based on such documentation provided by the family 62 |

100 | 100 | | pursuant to subsection (3), the Florida Virtual School shall 63 |
---|
101 | 101 | | submit a recommendation to the Department of Education as soon 64 |
---|
102 | 102 | | as practicable as to whether flexibility in assessment 65 |
---|
103 | 103 | | administration for a given statewide assessment should be 66 |
---|
104 | 104 | | granted or denied. Upon receipt of the request, documentation, 67 |
---|
105 | 105 | | and recommendation, the department shall verify the information 68 |
---|
106 | 106 | | documented as soon as practicable, make a determination, and 69 |
---|
107 | 107 | | notify the Florida Virtual School within 14 days. After the 70 |
---|
108 | 108 | | receipt of the department's determination, the Florida Virtual 71 |
---|
109 | 109 | | School shall notify the parent or guardian whether the 72 |
---|
110 | 110 | | flexibility in assessment administration has been granted or 73 |
---|
111 | 111 | | denied. If the department grants t he request, the student's 74 |
---|
112 | 112 | | progress must be assessed with flexibility in assessment 75 |
