ENROLLED 2023 Legislature SB 218 2023218er 1 2 An act relating to genetic counselors using 3 telehealth; amending s. 456.47, F.S.; revising the 4 definition of the term telehealth provider to 5 include persons licensed as genetic counselors; 6 providing an effective date. 7 8 Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Florida: 9 10 Section 1.Paragraph (b) of subsection (1) of section 11 456.47, Florida Statutes, is amended to read: 12 456.47Use of telehealth to provide services. 13 (1)DEFINITIONS.As used in this section, the term: 14 (b)Telehealth provider means any individual who provides 15 health care and related services using telehealth and who is 16 licensed or certified under s. 393.17; part III of chapter 401; 17 chapter 457; chapter 458; chapter 459; chapter 460; chapter 461; 18 chapter 463; chapter 464; chapter 465; chapter 466; chapter 467; 19 part I, part III, part IV, part V, part X, part XIII, or part 20 XIV of chapter 468; chapter 478; chapter 480; part I,orpart 21 II, or part III of chapter 483; chapter 484; chapter 486; 22 chapter 490; or chapter 491; who is licensed under a multistate 23 health care licensure compact of which Florida is a member 24 state; or who is registered under and complies with subsection 25 (4). 26 Section 2.This act shall take effect July 1, 2023.
