54 | 54 | | (3)(a) Beginning with the 2024 -2025 school year, the Seal 29 |

55 | 55 | | of Fine Arts shall be awarded to a high school student who has 30 |

56 | 56 | | earned a standard high school diploma; successfully completed at 31 |

57 | 57 | | least three year-long courses in dance, music, theatre, or the 32 |
---|
58 | 58 | | visual arts with a grade of "A" or higher in each course or 33 |
---|
59 | 59 | | earned three sequential course credits in such courses with a 34 |
---|
60 | 60 | | grade of "A" or higher in each course; and meets a minimum of 35 |

62 | 62 | | 1. Successfully completes a fine arts International 37 |

63 | 63 | | Baccalaureate, advanced placement, dual enrollment, or honors 38 |

64 | 64 | | course in the subjects listed in this paragraph with a grade of 39 |

66 | 66 | | 2. Participates in a district or statewide organiz ation's 41 |

96 | 96 | | appropriate seal to be affixed to a student's diploma indicating 59 |

97 | 97 | | that the student has been awarded the Seal of Fine Arts. 60 |

98 | 98 | | (b) Provide appropriate benchmarks in rubric form which 61 |
---|
99 | 99 | | are necessary for a school district to successfully implement 62 |
---|

101 | 101 | | (5) Each school district shall: 64 |

102 | 102 | | (a) Maintain appropriate records to identify a student who 65 |
---|
103 | 103 | | has met the requirements to receive a Seal of Fine Arts. 66 |

104 | 104 | | (b) Provide the Comm issioner of Education with the number 67 |
---|
105 | 105 | | of students who have met the requirements to receive a Seal of 68 |
---|

107 | 107 | | (c) Affix the appropriate insignia to the student's 70 |
---|
108 | 108 | | diploma and indicate on the student's transcript that he or she 71 |

109 | 109 | | has earned a Seal of Fine Arts. 72 |

110 | 110 | | (6) A school district or the department may not charge a 73 |
---|
111 | 111 | | fee for a Seal of Fine Arts. 74 |
