2424 Be It Enacted by the Legisl ature of the State of Florida: 11

2626 Section 1. This act may be cited as "Ariya's Act." 13
2727 Section 2. Section 683.336, Florida Statutes, is created 14
2828 to read: 15
2929 683.336 Hot Car Death Prevention Month. - 16
3030 (1) The month of April is designated as "Hot Car Death 17
3131 Prevention Month," to raise awareness of the dangers of leaving 18
3232 children in motor vehicles unattended and to educate the public 19
3333 in preventing hot car deaths of children. 20
3434 (2) The Department of Children and Families, the 21
3535 Department of Health, the Departm ent of Highway Safety and Motor 22
3636 Vehicles, local governments, and other agencies are encouraged 23
3737 to sponsor events that promote public awareness on the dangers 24
3838 of leaving a child unattended in a motor vehicle and methods to 25

5858 Section 3. This act shall take effect July 1, 2024. 33
