1 AN ACT concerning education.
2 Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
3 represented in the General Assembly:
4 Section 5. The School Code is amended by changing Section
5 3-14.9 as follows:
6 (105 ILCS 5/3-14.9) (from Ch. 122, par. 3-14.9)
7 Sec. 3-14.9. Elevation of standard of teaching -
8 Improvement of schools. To labor in every practicable way to
9 elevate the standard of teaching and improve the condition of
10 the common schools of the regional superintendent's his
11 county, including designation as an eligible learning partner
12 in any iteration of the Statewide System of Support in order to
13 provide services to local and other schools designated to
14 receive such services by the State Board of Education.

16 Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect July 1,
17 2023.
