1 AN ACT concerning employment.
2 Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
3 represented in the General Assembly:
4 Section 5. The Workers' Compensation Act is amended by
5 changing Section 19.1 as follows:
6 (820 ILCS 305/19.1) (from Ch. 48, par. 138.19a)
7 Sec. 19.1. The time within which any act is required to be
8 performed under any of the provisions of this Act shall be
9 computed by excluding the first day and including the last,
10 unless the last day is Saturday, Sunday or is a holiday as
11 defined or fixed in any statute now or hereafter in force in
12 this State, and then such days shall also be excluded. If the
13 day succeeding such holiday is also a holiday then such
14 succeeding day shall also be excluded. The time within which
15 any act is required to be performed under any of the provisions
16 of this Act shall be the same for this State and its political
17 subdivisions as it is for private employers.
