| 30 | 30 | | Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority |
|---|
| 31 | 31 | | of the same, as follows: |
|---|
| 32 | 32 | | 1 SECTION 1. Notwithstanding any general or special law to the contrary, all positions in |
|---|
| 33 | 33 | | 2the City of Northampton that are covered by the Civil Service provisions of M.G.L. c. 31, |
|---|
| 34 | 34 | | 3including those positions in the Department of Public Works and Central Services Department, |
|---|
| 35 | 35 | | 4shall be exempt from chapter 31 of the General Laws. |
|---|
| 36 | 36 | | 5 SECTION 2. Section 1 shall not impair the civil service status of any person holding a |
|---|
| 37 | 37 | | 6position subject to Chapter 31 of the General Laws in the City of Northampton on the effective |
|---|
| 38 | 38 | | 7data of this act. |

| 39 | 39 | | 8 SECTION 3. The parties shall comply with the provisions of the Tentative Agreement |

| 40 | 40 | | 9Between the City of Northampton and IUOE, Local #98, dated December 22, 2022, with regard |

| 41 | 41 | | 10to the terms and conditions of the withdrawal of positions from chapter 31 of the General Laws |
