Rausch (by vote of the town) that the town of Wrentham be authorized to exempt the position of deputy fire chief of said town from certain provisions of the civil service law. Public Service. [Local Approval Received.] The Commonwealth of Massachusetts _______________ In the One Hundred and Ninety-Third General Court (2023-2024) _______________ An Act authorizing the town of Wrentham to exempt the position of Deputy Fire Chief from civil service. Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows: 1 SECTION 1. Notwithstanding any general or special law to the contrary, the position of 2deputy fire chief in the fire department of the Town of Wrentham shall be exempt from chapter 331 of the General Laws. 4 SECTION 2. Section 1 of this act shall not impair the civil service status of any person 5holding the position of deputy fire chief in the fire department of the Town of Wrentham on the 6effective date of this act. 7 SECTION 3. This act shall take effect upon its passage.
