2828 An Act authorizing the city of Newton to lease the Warren Junior High School for a term of
2929 years not exceeding 99 years.
3030 Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority
3131 of the same, as follows:
3232 1 Section 1. Notwithstanding the provisions of section 3 of chapter 40 of the General Laws
3333 2or chapter 330 of the Acts of 1981 or of any other general or special law to the contrary, the city
3434 3of Newton may lease the Warren Junior High School for a term of years not exceeding 99 years.
3535 4 Section 2. Notwithstanding the provisions of chapter 30B of the general laws or of any
3636 5other general law or special law to the contrary, the city of Newton may grant a lease extension
3737 6to Warren House Associates Limited Partnership, the current lessee of the Warren Junior High
3838 7School, without undertaking a procurement process.
3939 8 Section 3. This act shall take effect upon its passage.
