Khan and others (with the approval of the mayor and city council) that the city of Newton be 
authorized to lease the Warren Junior High School for a term of years not exceeding 99 years.

An Act authorizing the city of Newton to lease the Warren Junior High School for a term of 
years not exceeding 99 years.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority 
of the same, as follows:
1 Section 1. Notwithstanding the provisions of section 3 of chapter 40 of the General Laws 
2or chapter 330 of the Acts of 1981 or of any other general or special law to the contrary, the city 
3of Newton may lease the Warren Junior High School for a term of years not exceeding 99 years.
4 Section 2. Notwithstanding the provisions of chapter 30B of the general laws or of any 
5other general law or special law to the contrary, the city of Newton may grant a lease extension 
6to Warren House Associates Limited Partnership, the current lessee of the Warren Junior High 
7School, without undertaking a procurement process.
8 Section 3. This act shall take effect upon its passage.
