50.820.1.Thestatementrequiredbysection50.815shallbesetinthestandard
2columnwidthmeasurewhichwilltaketheleastspaceandthepublishershallfiletwoproofs
3ofpublicationwiththecountycommissionandthecommissionshallforwardoneprooftothe
4stateauditorandshallfiletheotherintheofficeofthecommission.Asrequiredunder
5section493.025,anewspaperpublishingthestatementshallchargeandreceivenomore
6thanitsregularlocalclassifiedadvertisingrate,whichshallbetherateonthe
7newspaper'srateschedulethatwasofferedtothepublicthirtydaysbeforethe

18commissionuntilnoticeisreceivedfromthestateauditorthattherequiredproofof

22 4.Thestateauditorshallpreparesampleformsforfinancialstatementsrequiredby

25inthisstate,butfailureoftheauditortosupplysuchformsshallnotinanywayexcuseany

55.160.Theauditorofeachcountyofthefirstclassificationnothavingacharterform
2ofgovernmentandofeachcountyofthesecondclassificationshallkeepaninventoryofall
3countypropertyunderthecontrolandmanagementofthevariousofficersanddepartments
4andshallannuallytakeaninventoryofsuchpropertyatanoriginalvalueofonethousand
5dollarsormoreshowingtheamount,locationandestimatedvaluethereof.Theauditorshall
6keepaccountsofallappropriationsandexpendituresmadebythecountycommission,andno
7warrantshallbedrawnorobligationincurredwithouttheauditor'scertificationthatan
8unencumberedbalance,sufficienttopaythesame,remainintheappropriateaccountorinthe
9anticipatedrevenuefundagainstwhichsuchwarrantorobligationistobecharged.The
10auditorshallaudittheaccountsofallofficersofthecountyannuallyorupontheirretirement
11fromoffice.Theauditorshallaudit,examineandadjustallaccounts,demands,andclaimsof
12everykindandcharacterpresentedforpaymentagainstthecounty,andshallintheauditor's
13discretionapprovetothecountycommissionofthecountyalllawful,true,justandlegal
14accounts,demandsandclaimsofeverykindandcharacterpayableoutofthecountyrevenue
15oroutofanycountyfundsbeforethesameshallbeallowedandawarrantissuedthereforby
16thecommission.Whenevertheauditorthinksitnecessarytotheproperexaminationofany
17account,demandorclaim,theauditormayexaminetheparties,witnesses,andothersonoath
18oraffirmationtouchinganymatterorcircumstanceintheexaminationofsuchaccount,
19demandorclaimbeforetheauditorallowssame.Theauditorshallnotbepersonallyliable
20foranycostforanyproceedinginstitutedagainsttheauditorintheauditor'sofficialcapacity.
21Theauditorshallkeepacorrectaccountbetweenthecountyandallcountyandtownship
22officers,andshallexamineallrecordsandsettlementsmadebythemforandwiththecounty

24accesstoallbooks,countyrecordsorpaperskeptbyanycountyortownshipofficerorroad
25overseer.Theauditorshall,duringthefirstfourdaysofeachmonth,strikeabalanceinthe
26caseofeachcountyandtownshipofficer,showingtheamountofmoneycollectedbyeach,
27theamountofmoneyduefromeachtothecounty,andtheamountofmoneyduefromany
28sourcewhatevertosuchoffice,andtheauditorshallincludeinsuchbalanceanyfeesthat
29havebeenreturnedtothecountycommissionortotheauditorasunpaidandwhichsince
30havingbeenreturnedhavebeencollected.Uponrequest,theauditorshallhaveaccessto
31andtheabilitytoauditandexamineclaimsofeverykindandcharacterforwhicha
32countyofficerhasafiduciaryduty.
57.317.1.(1)Exceptinanonchartercountyofthefirstclassificationwithmore
2thanonehundredfiftythousandandlessthantwohundredthousandinhabitants,the
3countysheriffinanycountyofthefirstorsecondclassificationshallreceiveanannualsalary
4equaltoeightypercentofthecompensationofanassociatecircuitjudgeofthecounty.
5 (2)Thecountysheriffinanycountyofthethirdorfourthclassificationshallreceive
6anannualsalarycomputedasthefollowingpercentagesofthecompensationofanassociate
7circuitjudgeofthecounty.Ifthereisanincreaseinsalaryoflessthantenthousanddollars,
8theincreaseshalltakeeffectonJanuary1,2022.Ifthereisanincreaseoftenthousand
9dollarsormore,theincreaseshallbepaidoveraperiodoffiveyearsintwentypercent
10incrementsperyear.Theassessedvaluationfactorshallbetheamountthereofasshownfor
11theyearnextprecedingthecomputation.Theprovisionsofthissectionshallnotpermitor
12requireareductionintheamountofcompensationbeingpaidfortheofficeofsherifffromthe
13prioryear.

24professionalassociation.Theprofessionalassociationapprovingtheprogramshallprovidea
25certificateofcompletiontoeachsheriffwhocompletesthetrainingprogramandshallsenda
26listofcertifiedsheriffstothetreasurerofeachcounty.Expensesincurredforattendingthe

28expensesasmaybeappropriatedforthatpurpose.
29 3.Thecountysheriffinanycountyotherthanachartercountyshallnotreceivean
30annualcompensationlessthanthecompensationdescribedunderthissection.
58.095.1.Thecountycoronerinanycountynothavingacharterformof
2governmentshallreceiveanannualsalarycomputedonabasisassetforthinthefollowing
3scheduleaswellasanyadjustmentauthorizedundersubsection3ofsection50.327. The
4provisionsofthissectionshallnotpermitorrequireareductionintheamountof
5compensationbeingpaidfortheofficeofcoroneronJanuary1,1997:

21exemptedfromthetrainingbytheMissouriCoroners'andMedicalExaminers'Association
22forgoodcause.TheMissouriCoroners'andMedicalExaminers'Associationshallprovidea
23certificateofcompletiontoeachcoronerwhocompletesthetrainingprogramandshallsenda
24listofcertifiedcoronerstothetreasurerofeachcountyandthedepartmentofhealthand
25seniorservices.Thecoronerstandardsandtrainingcommissionmaycertifytraining
26programsthatsatisfytherequirementsofthissectioninlieuofthetrainingprovidedbythe
27MissouriCoroners'andMedicalExaminers'Association.Certifiedtrainingcompletionshall
28besubmittedtotheMissouriCoroners'andMedicalExaminers'Associationwhich,upon
29validatingthecertifiedtraining,shallsubmittheindividual'snametothecountytreasurerand
30departmentofhealthandseniorservicesindicatingtheindividualiscompliantwiththe
31trainingrequirements.Expensesincurredforattendingthetrainingsessionmaybe
32reimbursedtothecountycoronerinthesamemannerasotherexpensesasmaybe
CCSSSSCSHCSHB1606	7 33appropriatedforthatpurpose.Allelectedorappointedcoroners,deputycoroners,and
34assistantstothecoronershallcompletetheannualtrainingdescribedinthissubsectionwithin
35sixmonthsofelectionorappointment.
36 3.Thecountycoronerinanycountynothavingacharterformofgovernmentshall
37not,exceptupontwo-thirdsvoteofallthemembersofthesalarycommission,receivean
38annualcompensationinanamountlessthanthetotalcompensationbeingreceivedforthe
39officeofcountycoronerintheparticularcountyforservicesrenderedorperformedonthe
40datethesalarycommissionvotes.
41 4.Forthetermbeginningin1997,thecompensationofthecoroner,incountiesin
42whichthesalarycommissionhasnotvotedtopayonehundredpercentofthemaximum
43allowablesalary,shallbeapercentageofthemaximumallowablesalaryestablishedbythis
44section.Thepercentageappliedshallbethesamepercentageofthemaximumallowable
45salaryreceivedorallowed,whicheverisgreater,tothepresidingcommissionerorsheriff,
46whicheverisgreater,ofthatcountyfortheyearbeginningJanuary1,1997.Inthosecounties
47inwhichthesalarycommissionhasvotedtopayonehundredpercentofthemaximum
48allowablesalary,thecompensationofthecoronershallbebasedonthemaximumallowable
49salaryineffectateachtimeacoroner'stermofofficecommencesfollowingthevotetopay
50onehundredpercentofthemaximumallowablecompensation.Subsequentcompensation
51shallbedeterminedasprovidedinsection50.333.
52 5.EffectiveJanuary1,1997,thecountycoronerinanycountynothavingacharter
53formofgovernmentmay,upontheapprovalofthecountycommission,receiveadditional
54compensationforanymonthduringwhichinvestigationsorotherservicesareperformedfor
55threeormoredecedentsinthesameincidentduringsuchmonth.Theadditional
56compensationshallbeanamountthatwhenaddedtotheregularcompensationthesumshall
57equalthemonthlycompensationofthecountysheriff.
58.200.Whentheofficeofsheriffshallbevacant,bydeathorotherwise,thecoroner
2ofthecountyisauthorizedtoperformallthedutieswhicharebylawrequiredtobe
3performedbythesheriff,untilanothersheriffforsuchcountyshallbeappointedandqualified
4[,]andsuchcoronershallhavenoticethereof[, and].Insuchcase,saidcoronermayappoint
5oneormoredeputies,withtheapprobationofthejudgeofthecircuitcourt[;], andeverysuch
6appointment,withtheoathofofficeendorsedthereon,shallbefiledintheofficeoftheclerk
7ofthecircuitcourtofthecounty.Ifthecoronerbecomestheactingsheriffandthesheriff
8isnolongerreceivingthesheriff'ssalary,thecoronermaybepaid,inadditiontothe
9coroner'ssalary,thedifferencebetweenthesalariesofsheriffandcoronersothatthe
10coronerreceivestheequivalentofthesheriff'ssalarywhileservingasactingsheriff.
59.310.1.Thecountyrecorderofdeedsmayrefuseanydocumentpresentedfor
2recordingthatdoesnotmeetthefollowingrequirements:

4sideandnotpermanentlyboundnorinacontinuousform.Thedocumentshallnothaveany
5attachmentstapledorotherwiseaffixedtoanypageexceptasnecessarytocomplywith
6statutoryrequirements,providedthatadocumentmaybestapledtogetherforpresentationfor
7recording;alabelthatisfirmlyattachedwithabarcodeorreturnaddressmaybeacceptedfor
8recording;
9 (2)Thesizeofprintortypeshallnotbesmallerthaneight-pointtypeandshallbein
10blackordarkink.Shouldanydocumentpresentedforrecordingcontaintypesmallerthan
11eight-pointtype,suchdocumentshallbeaccompaniedbyanexacttypewrittencopynot
12smallerthaneight-pointtypetoberecordedcontemporaneouslyasadditionalpagesofthe
13document;
14 (3)Thedocumentmustbeofsufficientlegibilitytoproduceaclearandlegible
15reproductionthereof.Shouldanydocumentnotbeofsufficientlegibilitytoproduceaclear
16andlegiblereproduction,suchdocumentshallbeaccompaniedbyanexacttypewrittencopy

59whichnowhasormayhereafterhaveapopulationinexcessofthreehundredthousand

61 [6.]7.Ifthereisabuildingorstructureontheparcel,thepurchasershallapplyforan
62occupancypermitfromthecityorappropriategovernmentalagencywithintendaysafterthe

64capacityshallnotberequiredtoacquiretheoccupancypermit.Whenaparcel,acquiredata

66capacity,thesubsequentpurchasershallberequiredtoapplyfortheoccupancypermit.
67Failuretoapplyforsuchoccupancypermitwithintendaysafterconfirmationshallresultin
68thesaleandconfirmationbeingimmediatelysetasidebythemotionofanyinterestedparty
69andthatparcelshallagainbeadvertisedandofferedforsalebythesherifftothehighest
70bidderatpublicauctionforcashatanysubsequentsheriffforeclosuresale.
71 [7.]8.Thesheriffshallincludeadeedrestrictioninthesheriff'sdeed,issuedafter
72confirmationandaftertheapplicationofanoccupancypermitforanyparcelcontaininga
73buildingorstructure.Thedeedrestrictionshallstatethatthepurchasersatthesheriff'ssale
