These exemptionsonlyapplytoemergencyvehiclesthat,whileinmotion, soundaudiblesignalsbybell,siren,orexhaustwhistleas reasonablynecessary,andwhenthevehicleisequippedwithat leastonelightedlampdisplayingaredlightorbluelightvisible undernormalatmosphericconditionsfromadistanceof500feetto thefrontofsuchvehicle. Thisbillprovidesthatanauthorizedemergencyvehicleoperatedas apolicevehicleisnotrequiredtouseanaudiblesignalor displayavisualsignalwhenthevehicleisbeingusedtoget evidenceofaspeedingviolation;respondtoasuspectedcrimein progresswhenuseofanaudibleorvisualsignal,orboth,could reasonablyresultinthedestructionofevidenceorescapeofa suspect;orconductsurveillanceofavehicleorthepassengersof avehiclewhoaresuspectedofinvolvementinacrime.
