Provides that itemized bills or invoices, receipted or marked paid, for services, supplies or repairs of an amount not in excess of ten thousand dollars are admissible in evidence and are prima facie evidence of the reasonable value and necessity of such services, supplies or repairs itemized therein in any civil action.
Relates to care and protection of children; adds to the definition of children at risk infants who test positive for a controlled substance not prescribed by a physician, in their bloodstream or urine, are born dependent on such drugs or who demonstrate drug withdrawal symptoms, or who have been diagnosed with a condition attributable to in utero exposure to illegal drugs.
Relates to establishing a remote maternal health services pilot program for Medicaid recipients; provides that such program shall be established during fiscal years 2024-2025, 2025-2026 and 2026-2027 to provide: remote maternal health services to eligible Medicaid recipients, medically necessary remote maternal health services to such eligible recipients for up to 12 months postpartum and payment to healthcare providers who provide remote maternal health services that includes the cost of the remote patient monitoring devices being used.
Establishes a no fare program for transportation on the Long Island Rail Road for duly enrolled members of the auxiliary police for the county of Nassau and Nassau county villages and cities.
Directs the commissioner of economic development to designate representatives for each department of environmental conservation region of the state to serve as the point of contact for municipalities to aid in the acquisition of resources and funding for water projects.
Permits Gold Star families to use any of the public campsites, parks and other public places of recreation in this state free of charge; defines "veteran".
Increases the sentencing classification of misdemeanor hate crime offenses or of an attempt or conspiracy to commit a specified offense that is a misdemeanor to a class E felony.
Extends the expiration of the provisions authorizing the county of Cattaraugus to impose an additional one percent sales and compensating use taxes until November 30, 2025.
Provides a resident taxpayer an additional personal income tax exemption for each dependent who is 65 years of age or older and who is residing with the taxpayer; requires the office for the aging to biennially report to the governor and legislature concerning the effects of such additional tax exemption on programs offered under the auspices or with the support, direct or indirect, of the office for the aging.
Requires health insurance policies which provide coverage for mammography screenings also provide coverage for breast ultrasounds for cancer screening.
