13	44		amending 19 O.S. 2011, Section 377, which relates to
14	45		data processing technicians; authorizing counties to
15	46		employ information technology staff; updating
16	47		references; eliminating technician employment term

24	53		BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF OKLAHOMA:

26	54		SECTION 1. AMENDATORY 19 O.S. 2011, Section 37 7, is
27	55		amended to read as follows:

29	56		Section 377. The board of county commissioners of any county
30	57		may employ a competent information technology (IT) staff and a data
31	58		processing technician , who shall perform the duties of IT management
32	59		or data processing mana gement as prescribed and directed by the
33	60		board of county commissioners , and such data processing technician
34	61		shall not be employed beyond the term of office of the board of
35	62		county commissioners employing h im. The said IT staff and data
36	63		processing technicia n shall receive as compensation a salary
37	64		salaries to be fixed by the board of county commissioners for his

39	93		county. The compensations of the director and such personnel IT
40	94		staff and data processing technician shall not be governed by the
41	95		"Comprehensive Salary Code".

44	97		the county blanket bond.
