An Act ENROLLED HOUSE BILL NO. 3530 By: Hardin (David), West (Kevin), Burns, Humphrey, Roberts (Dustin), Grego, Bashore, Davis, Talley, West (Josh), McDugle, and Roberts (Sean) of the House and Weaver and Kidd of the Senate An Act relating to the Oklahoma Medical Marijuana Authority; creating County Sheriff Public Safety Grant Revolving Fund; prov iding sources of funds; providing for use of fun ds; prescribing proc edures for expenditures; stipulating local law enforcement programs; providing for codification; providing an effective date; and declaring an emergency . SUBJECT: Oklahoma Medical Marijuana Authority BE IT ENACTED BY THE PE OPLE OF THE STATE OF OKLAHOMA: SECTION 1. NEW LAW A new section of law to be codifi ed in the Oklahoma Statutes as Sect ion 427.3a of Title 63, unless there is created a duplication in numbering, read s as follows: There is hereby created in the State Treasury a revolving fund for the Oklahoma Medical Marijuana Authority to be designated the "County Sheriff Public Safety Grant Revolving Fund". The fund shall be a continuing fund, not subject to fiscal year limitations, and shall consist of all monies received by the Oklahoma Medical Marijuana Authority that are appropriated or apportioned to this fund, and any federal funds, grants, and donat ions from any public or private source for the purpose of supporting county sheriffs . NO. 3530 Page 2 All monies accruing to th e credit of the fund are hereby appropriated and may be budgeted and expended by the Oklahoma Medical Marijuana Authority for the purpose of establishing programs and providing funding to support county sheriffs to enforce the requirements of state law with respect to the commercial grow th of medical marijuana or other related business activity for wh ich a license is required pursuant to the provi sions of law governing the production, cultivation, transportation, distribution, sale, or other actions related to medical marijuana . Expenditures from the fund shall be made upon warrants issued by the Sta te Treasurer against claims filed as prescr ibed by law with the Director of t he Office of Management and Enterprise Serv ices for approval and payment. SECTION 2. This act shall become effective J uly 1, 2022. SECTION 3. It being immediately necessary for the preservation of the public peace, health or safety, an emergency is hereby declared to exist, by reason whereof thi s act shall take effect and be in full force from and after i ts passage and approval.
