47 | 55 | BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF OKLAHOMA: | |
48 | 56 | SECTION 1. The Secretary of State shall refer to the people for | |
49 | 57 | their approval or rejection, as and in the manner provided by law, | |
50 | 58 | the following proposed amendment to Section 2 of A rticle V of the | |
51 | 59 | Constitution of the State of Oklahoma to read as follows: | |
52 | 60 | Section 2. The first power reserved by the people is the | |
53 | 61 | initiative, and eight per centum percent (8%) of the legal voters of | |
54 | 62 | each county of this state shall have the right to propo se any | |
55 | 63 | legislative measure, and fifteen per centum percent (15%) of the | |
56 | 64 | legal voters of each county of this state shall have the right to | |
57 | 65 | propose amendments to the Constitution by petition, and every such | |
